A couple weeks back we brewed up an English Brown ale so we could get a yeast cake going for yesterday’s Imperial Stout.

This is a big ol’  beer. I think it is the biggest I ever made. A 1.113 OG and 110 IBU kind of love.

I had recently won 3oz of Soriachi Ace, 3oz Cascade, and 3oz Bitter gold hops,, so.. in they all go!

I was sorta worried I wouldn’t be able to hit an OG this high,, but we got it.

Lemme tell you, when this wort hit the yeast cake, it was like a nuclear bomb went off!
