Seen the Cookies and Cream Stout today. Grabbed a pint just to see. I know I’ve heard about it. But,, these kinds of beers just aint my thing.

Tap poured into a shaker. Deep dark brown, but short of black. Awesome ruby highlights.
Thick white head but dies quickly. Such as usually with cookie beers. No cascade or anything like that. So far so good.

Smells like and blender of Oreos and chocolate milk from a foot away. No roast no hops. No nothing else. That cookie is overpowering everything. I can’t wait to see how this tastes ::sarcasm::

“Light” chocolate taste surprisingly,, but has a particulate feeling. Sweet but not over sweet. Again,, not what I was expecting .A bit of roast in there.
There is a very laid back hop back in there. Old-school noble hoplike.
Much much more balance than I thought it would be. And definitely not s sweet as I thought it was gonna be.

A bit of bitterness on tongue along with some carbonation. This beer just looks like this should be thick but it’s… yea its up there. but not too heavy I guess.

It’s really better than I thought it would ever be.
It actually does feel like they had a stout in mind first.. then with with all the adjuncts.

Stouty. Chocolate. Sweet, but in check.

As far as a pastry beer goes.. this gets my approval..and that takes…. alot.
